Goodness gracious. This really is a collapse on all levels I'm afraid. Horrible pitching, dead hitting, and lets be honest --- sloppy fielding.

I think I'm going to call it a night. Been watching the Birds since 4:00pm, and it has all sucked.

Have no fear, scott and the donkey are still here. All the niceties I've said about MM have pretty much been thrown out my window, along with my tv.

Only concern I have is Yadi - games sucked offensive is wounded but if we lose Yadi the best ever to sit behind the plate ... it will hurt!!!!!!!!

I woke up this morning with a dull pain in my stomach, and a sort of 'hung-over' feeling that has nothing to do with the toxic combination of Hendricks in Game 1, and Balvenie in Game 2.

I will admit to Scott (and this is painful to say), TLR would have kicked some serious arse if this was happening on his watch. I hope behind closed doors, MM can somehow light a fire under this team.

I really hate to catastrophize, but I think the Cardinals can start making vacation plans for October.

I'm headed back to StL next week for the Cubs game on Friday night. I hope-to-heck the real Cardinals show up.

banning A-Rod for life at 38 with injuries? not a big deal.

now figure out a way to reclaim the hundreds of millions he's made and give it to youth baseball, now THAT would be a punishment...

^ I was going to say that it's going to be difficult to find a broom in Pittsburgh for those that actually need one.

This has just been an absolutely brutal series. I'm not taking anything away from the Pirates- there's no doubt that they're a great team. But so are the Cardinals. What in the hell is going on?

I never give up on my Cardinals. But after a great first half of the season, I must say that I have to go back a long way before I can recall another stretch of Cardinals baseball that was this demoralizing and frustrating to watch.
