no way.

if you can get a smoking deal on them, pay to have them painted silver or black.

btw I had those rims on my 997, great wheels.

Chas- Me too. Paint is cheap and the wheels will look brand new.

Body color is about right for wheel color, though.

Sid

I am a fan of the gold wheels - a lot of people paint them especially on the Scuderia even thought it was a 1500.00 adder.

Suggest sticking with the gold for a little while - you can always paint them down the road..

I like the gold. Gold with black body is classic. (Admittedly Lotus not Porsche, but it still looks good.)

As usual, opinions on wheels are wide and varied, and there is no correct or incorrect answer. Just personal preferences.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about the wheels. I am getting a killer deal on them so I may proceed. The advantage is that they are much lighter. Disadvantage being that it may look tacky.

Chas, thanks for the reference picture. Got any of a Cayman?

ask and you shall receive

what wheels are on the Cayman now? IIRC they're the lobster forks, which are actually decently light for 19"s from the factory.

Actually is currently sports the common 18 inch set and I have a set of Boxster Spyder wheels 19 that are just sitting.

Opinion
Boxster Spyder wheels?
OZ wheels?

without knowing weight, offsets, etc; if you have the Spyder wheels already, use those....

they look fairly similar to the OZs and I'm guessing they're not gold

The 19" Boxster/Cayman wheels look good. I had a set of them on my old 05 Boxster. Porsche has a factory accessory set of spacers that make them look even better. They fit all the 987 Boxster/Cayman wheels except for the really expensive, 19" multi-spoke wheels that were wider from the factory.
