Thank you Dave Helms!

I just had Dave helms restore and upgrade my fuse box. It seems to have cured some minor issues I was recently having with my 1988.5 TR. Competezione did the installation and service work.

Dave did a great job and I don't expect anymore issues going forward. Dave has been working on Ferrari's for at least 30 years and shares our passion.

I want to publicly thank Dave Helms, and Richard and Fernando at Competizione. for making my TR ownership all these years such an enjoyable experience!

We are indeed fortunate to have these dedicated and experienced professionals supporting us.

Good technicians are what makes Ferrari owning a pleasure. Prevents having to use the term "What's next?".

Wonder if Dave got the F355/360 lifter problem fixed?

Affirmative, a basic design issue that surfaced when there were no replacement lifters available for F355s and 360s. The F355s and 360s share hydraulic valve lifters and Dave was working on a more robust lifter.

Have to ask him.

Proactively changing the oil on a regular basis as well as minimizing the use of silicone sealants (entering the oil galleys) solves many of these perceived design problems. The last 360 here with noisy lifters was repaired by simply changing the oil. In my opinion, there is a problem, but appears to be way overblown. My understanding was that lifters are still available from Ferrari, but on an exchange basis.

Hydraulic lifters have been around a long time. Regardless of manufacturer, they all fail more of less for the same reasons.
