OEM radio for a 1987 TR

I am curious as to what kind of stock sound system came with this model. Mine came with an after market radio and some ADS amps where the spare tire should go.
Thanks

TR stock radio

My 89 TR was delivered with no radio. I do not know if a radio was ever considered stock in a TR.

tr radio

The US Tr's just had speakers / no radio so finding an original radio isnt going to happen... You just need to get a period correct radio or delete it....

There was no factory radio when TR's came out. Most guys just installed what ever the best radio was in those days.

My 1988 RHD version came with a Becker Mexico that appears to have been fitted by the dealer when new?

Regards
Chris

Hi Chris, the dealer might have installed ,however there was no factory radio back in the day. The client might have pick out a radio and the dealer did the work.
Thanks
Alex.

Best Radio you could buy in Germany for TR, Mondial and 412 was the Blaupunkt Bamberg SQR 82

Autoradio Blaupunkt Bamberg SQR 82. Radio / Kassette. Garagenfund für Bastler. | eBay

or Blaupunkt Berlin,

Blaupunkt Berlin IQR 88 mit Radio Pass | eBay
also some huge ultra expensive Becker Mexico Radios...

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Becker-Mexico...item232b3eeb1d

There are no better radios than mid 1980s Blaupunkt Bamberg and Becker mexico.
Reception and sound is fantastic.
Unbelieveable if you compare with todays Chinese Ricer MP3 crap.

beware of Japan or China crap.

Here you can see a photo of an original mid/late 80s 412i, same fine radio "Blaupunkt Bamberg SQR 82"
was apopular choice on european Testarossa, 328 and Mondial.
I like the round button bull eye look of this german quality radio.
It looks sporty.
