Considering the purchase of a 1992-1994 512 TR

Friends,

I am getting ready to buy a late model Testarossa and I would greatly appreciate any and all pieces of information you all could offer me to help inform my decision of buying this car.

I know there are already lots of posts about F-cars and TR in particular; however, if you all would be so gracious as to invest yourselves and your time in building this post into a more holistic source of information about the 512 TR, I would be greatly appreciative.

Cheers! :-)

What is it about TR that attracts you more than other comparable and non-comparable models ?

Brian be a good source as he works on them and owns one, but there is too much to talk about so I would guess a more specific question would bring a better response . shamilel also owns one.

I had one for years and enjoyed it greatly. (Though it doesn't make a good daily driver.)
Key thing would be a thorough PPI even it just completed the engine out major at an authorized dealer. That extra bit of caution saved me from surprises.

fm- Here is a little homework assignment if you have not already done it. Go to ferraridatabase.com and download the 512 TR owners manuals, two volume workshop manual, and parts manual. Borrow or buy a copy of Road & Track Ferrari V-12 Portfolio 1992-2002, which has a road test and articles on the 512 TR. May help you understand the car a bit better.
