Fast& Loud F-40 Being Sold Today

I see that the black, Fast &Loud, Ferrari F40 is being auctioned at today's Barrett-Jackson Collector Car event.

This is the one that Dennis Collins put up the money for the Carmonkey Garage to buy and
rebuild a wrecked F40. He then bought the rebuilt car for himself.

What do you think the car will sell for? IMO, it probably is a better car than an original F40.

Pablo,

I doubt that Dennis would let the car go at that price level. He most likely has a reserve price to protect himself

Kevin,

I believe that Dennis paid $350K (or was it $400K). So he received almost twice what he paid for it. Of course
you have consider the parts and labor to repair the wreck. A few dollars more.

I saw this recently on TV here and the car wreck cost $400K and another $400K (I think) to pay off GMG. The car can be made to stock for peanuts. New paint for maybe $15K but I personally prefer black cars... Rgds///Thomas

I think he had to expend more than a few dollars to fix that wrecked F40. In any case i think he got a good price given the condition of the car! He was lucky that Ferrari F40 like the other Ferrari Super cars are hot on the market. This is the only reason he got that number. This is just IMO.

I just watched the F40 Fast n Loud episode again. Hugely entertaining! Their backer paid $400,000 for the wreck. They spent $295,000 on parts on labour. Backer paid them $400,000 for their trouble thus spending $800,000 in total.

Mantra during the rebuild seemed to be, we are short of money and need to sell this fast. In a hurry and on a tight budget not ideal when bringing an exotic back to life. Nonetheless they berated Ferrari for not getting it right the first time as they had. To quote the head honcho, "yeah what's with that Ferrari!" Great laugh out loud moment!

The later auction result of $675,000 suggests that the market does not agree with them that they got it right where Ferrari got it wrong.
