If ever a Enzo...that would do ! M. Schumachers one on the market

Have seen this " Michaels" Ex-Enzo about 3 years ago for sale at the same place/F-dealer. Looked at the car inside out. Has lots of nice personal"specials" but most of all those signatures of all the F1 team members from 2003 inside the front bonnet and else.

Many F enthusiasts may ask "what the h.. I want from Michael". But I still think that this was a important time and his personal Ex-Enzo still is something special. Car is priced around 1 Mio. Euro...not cheap but a artifact. BTW his Ex-personal FXX (No. 30) is for sell as well.

Extrange? Pablo is this the answer when looking at a Roy lichtenstein, a pollock or a Kandinsky?

+1 It would be a little bit better if the exterior wasn't red, but even without comparing to the EX that just not the best choice.

Quite a premium for a signature. Despite all the personal touches, Michael did not seem to emotionally attached to the car given that he sold it after only a couple of years of ownership.

I wouldn't order it that way, but I wouldn't kick it out of the garage for dripping oil either.

Not so sure. It isn't hugely over market price and I think it will be a collectors piece that will be a good investment over the long run. Not a car to buy if you want to drive it yourself.

I do agree with you that MS seems to have no love for cars, cetainly not his Ferraris.

Do any of the current and recent past F1 drivers really love sports cars (exception Jenson Button)? Vettel's favor car is a VW camper and Webber rides a bike.

Weird isn't it?

I can't think of a current F1 driver who is a car nut either.

It is understandable... they spent most of their life doing things that they are paid for, so in their free time, they would rather do other things...

Many professional tennis player go golfing in their spare time, and pro golfers go fishing or skiing.

Wasn't that the so-called Zonda 760 LH Edition?

I don't think your analogy quite works, Gus.

1. Driving any roadcar, even a supercar, has as much to do with driving an F1 car as driving a steam engine. It does not remind an F1 driver of work.
2. Computer geeks use their iPad on the couch at home
3. The majority of F1 drivers in earlier era's were very passionate about road cars
4. Lots of professional golfers and tennis players are passionate about the history of the game and are scholars about it. Recent F1 drivers don't seem to have that at all.

I must make an exception for Alonso, who has commented and has shown that he loves driving the old F1 cars (from the 1950's) that he has driven on a couple of occasion.

I agree Onno. I fly for a living, but when I'm not in the air, all I can think about is getting back in the seat. Even when I'm sleeping, I dream of flying. On my walls are pictures of airplanes, and in my wallet is a picture of my sweetheart, right next to my wife...

There is nothing, repeat NOTHING, I would rather do than fly. That I get paid to do it is a minor benefit.

Compared with that extreme standard, Alonso is the only car nut of the bunch.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

There are also plenty of opposite examples in the pro downtime hobbies:
Tiger Woods gone fishing during his off time, Andy Murray and Ivan Lendl play golf at Wentworth during their downtime, Michael Jordan played baseball, golf and drove his cars...
As to myself, I worked and lived in financial markets, so on my downtime, I would switch off my blackberry and go to a my favourite place where I can escape all the constant and instant news of the world...
Some people do and some people don't...
