Have every intention of buying what should be an outstanding book. Have communicated with the author ( FXX in the family stable ) and hope he can bring/ autograph copies at FCA 2013 National Meet at Road America. IIRC, there were two of the three F-50GT's at FCA 1999, and Art Zafiripoulo drove his at FCA 2001 in Texas. One FXX was at FCA 2007 at Watkins Glen along with three 333SP's.
FCA 2009 at Road America saw three 333SP's on track. One is not yet able to commit for FCA 2013 at Road America, another tells me he wants to attend, and as for the third of those 333SP's... Continental Auto Sports ( southwest of Chicago ) unveiled the F-12 this week at a gala reception, Stunning appearance for the new model. My attention, however, was also directed to the service bay, where all parts have arrived... Master Technician Tod Ruoti already had the rebuilt motor/ clutch /gearbox bolted on the back of the "bathtub" with undertray, rear suspension, radiators, and plumbing to follow. Then, time to fire it up. I can guarantee that the track events guy for FCA Central States Region has every intention to attend FCA 2013 and consume copious quantities of 111-octane leaded at 11,000rpm.
Will also reach out again to other 333SP owners/ drivers to attend.
Does not mean the F-40 is staying home!
Look for us in garage #13 of the new garage building south part of main paddock closer to pit out near Turn 1 than to start/ finish line.
Personal taste, but I like that wide rollbar as it protects both inhabitants when you slide in a second seat.for a passenger. I don't think I'd describe the F-40 or the 333SP as " pretty ". To me, they are aggressive drop-dead sexy gorgeous. Again, personal taste.
All the best.
