Metallic Dark Grey F50

What do you guys think of this?

I've only ever seen the F50 in Black/Red/Yellow.

Looks really nice like this though.

Found somewhere browsing Flickr.

It looks great! I think those dark wheels would look really good on a more traditional F50 color as well, like red.

Love the grey!

That guy seems awfully tall - good thing it's topless.

It's probably that F50, which was/still is on sale at Joe Machari in southern London. Grey was one of the colour options when new, however I'm not quite sure if it was a light silver grey or this kind of "titanio" grey ?

I am sure it is, they also had or have a black one for sale, they are re-spray cars not factory, the black one looks good also, and my liking for black cars it nearly had me.

It is funny how the female passenger seems oblivious to the ride in F50... But, maybe she was tweeting her friends about all the excitements she experienced in the car.

No way, she's either tweeting about Harry's willie or where Kate got her latest dress....

Yes, it is definitely the Macari F50. Respray and retrim were done in Italy.

How can you tell that is 104409 rather than one of the other cars repainted to grey? I do hope you're not guessing!!!

Jonathan

Edit: I have just done a quick Internet search and found the next picture in the sequence and you were guessing Marcel and guessed wrong. Tut, tut. You really are slipping;-)

Assume you are saying it is 106720, which was originally red and in France, then Germany, then 3/2000 heavily crashed and had the tub replaced, 2002 at Gumball 3000 Rallye, then in Sweden in 2004, then to UK and on plates R 181 LPD.

Marcel,

Yes, this is 106720. In the pictures (the next one in the sequence) it is registered F5OLC. As I assume you know it has gone back to red again since these pictures were taken.

Hi 212,

I have personally seen an original grey F50 - it was Argento (i.e. light silver, like every second Audi or Porsche....).

It looked really good!

This particular F50 looks really bad in my opinion, a very NON-Ferrari colour, and also a very NON-1990's colour. Nothing to do with the car when it was new.

I like it Onno. A LOT. Then again, I'd like it in almost ANY color. I don't think I'd order one in that color, it doesn't enhance the lines as much as corsa, but I wouldn't turn it down either.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

You would not have been able to order it in this colour.

And no-one turns down an F50!
