+1, I know what it is like to sell a Ferrari and be in mourning. I hope you bounce back soon.

As for above post, I have had the car for about 3 years. It is my first Ferrari, and hopefully not my last. I have enjoyed a lot, and like working on it as much as I do driving it. The car is finally coming around to what I want it to be, a good reliable driver.

Motomeccanica, your 308 GTB looks terrific. Looks like a steel-bodied tipo to me? Also the lower guage between the speedo and rev counter looks different to mine. Is that for oil pressure? Very good looking 308 indeed.

I have complete owner history of my Euro 1983 308 GTBi QV. It is Number 48 of 748 GTBi QVs. Most of the 748 were American versions, and less than 50 were made in 1982 - the debut year for the QV at the Paris show in October. The car's date of manufacture was November, 1982. It was sold from Kroymans Ferrari, Hilversum, Nederland on December 1, 1982.

The first owner was Dutch Le Mans Driver, Hans Hugenholtz http://www.racingsportscars.com/driv...nholtz-NL.html who was instrumental in getting Force India into F1 racing by selling Spyker's F1 Division to them. Mr. Hugenholtz is instrumental with the day to day isues of Spyker however still races. His father designed most of the world's early Formula One Race Circuits http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hugenholtz . A few years ago, I contacted Mr. Hugenholtz with photos of this car, and he told me it looks almost the same as it did in 1983.

It was also in the car collection of Golds Gym Owner Jeremy Lowell, who had "GOLDS" as the license plates on this car.

Although unrestored, it is nearly perfect physically and mechanically. It has won several awards in car shows, and although mileage is low (upper 30,000), it has been extremely well maintained and is driven nearly every day (albeit very short distances). Thanks for the interest. Michael

CGT - Your car looks fantastic! Taking pictures of cars on wet pavement is the best way to go. Gotta say, that's the right color (for me anyway).

I saw it this past weekend. It is in great condition. A truly excellent 308 GTS.

Thanks Onno. LHD is infinitely more comfortable for me than RHD (I am 6'5). I have always preferred LHD and was very lucky to find this one as I was resigned to settling for a RHD 308.

Boxer was a big help to me in finding the right model.

Hello,
I just realized I didn't post my car. I'm reading a lot the forum but not posting too much. I'm learning a lot here !
So my car, a GTB carb 1979 Euro, I'm the second owner since 5 years now, I did a lot on the car but the engine is still stock.
The car run great, I'm mostly on track with it (amateur of course).
Original Black (new paint), interior Black. #27899

Your 308 GTB in nero looks superb and beautiful. And dwarfed by the 458! Interesting looking parking garage with American classics and sportscars.

My car is staying in a very well known parking in Paris (but very private) where there's 3 floors of very rare cars. It's like a museum, each time I go there, I spend at least 2 hours, I always discover new cars. For example, in my alley, there's a 288, a Miura, 2 Countach, 6 Aston martin, a Cord, a Cobra...but there's more Ferrari, and british car (Aston, Rolls Bentley, Jaguar) than american ones... Sometime, I whish I could pull up all the covers....
