White 328 GTS

Hey All,

I am currently shopping for my first Ferrari, and I have been recently talking to someone who is selling a 1989 white on white 328 GTS with 54k miles. Despite the miles, the car is in really great physical and mechanical condition. He is asking $46,000 which seems a little bit high for a car with that many miles, but it's been hard for me to find anything truly comparable. Does $46 sound high? Reasonable? Do the white 328s command a premium because of their rarity? Any help would be great.

$46k is a little high but if it is in great shape it isn't really. I recommend you focus on the condition of the car, not on the mileage. In many ways, mileage is good - Ferraris don't like to stand.

White is very rare but it's not that popular on 328s so it shouldn't command much of a premium.

The important thing is if YOU like the car, and if the independent specialist that does the PPI confirms it's a good buy.

1989 328GTS - Most desirable

I agree. A white car is not the most desirable and therefore will not command any premium. However, a 1989 build IS the most desirable of the 328 tipo and $46k sounds a good price to me. It would certainly be a higher asking price if the car was rosso.
The most important thing is that YOU like the car.

Price doesn't sound bad to me. 328's have been on the rise recently.

Overall, if the condition of the car is great then it does not sound like a bad deal. I would not pay a premium for white, as others have said its rare but that does not mean it commands a premium. Let us know how your search goes.

I'm new to this forum so I'm posting this image as a test run. Its my 89 GTS Red/Crema with red carpets.
