355 exhaust system replacement

Haven't posted in awhile. I have been searching for a late model 355. I tend to research something to death before I take the plunge. Anyway, with the vehicles I looked at so far, the exhaust manifolds seem to be the most prevalent
issue outside of cosmetic flaws. My question is - are manifold replacements an "engine out" service issue? I assume the Cats and exhaust are not.
Want to plan for this in my budgeting.
Also, has anyone heard of 355s having issues with the freeze plugs on the engine block blowing out? I have never heard of this problem with 355s but a friend of mine swears that this is an issue!

Exhaust manifolds and cats can be replaced with the engine in the car on a 355. The freeze plug problem is a new one on me. -Steve

Good news to me about the exhaust system. I have access to a fairly well equipped garage with lift. Might like to tackle it myself. As for the Freeze plug replies sounds like my friend is trying to "pull my leg". Seems like Tubi gets the popular vote. Anyone have knowledge of the systems on the market?

Tubi

Tubi on a 355 has to be the greatest car sound of all time. All you want to do is go through the gears, then slow down and do it again. Sounds like a formula 1 car. Interestingly, you can replace the headers and cats with the engine in the car, but to replace the muffler, you have to pull the rear bumper! Let us know how it comes out. -Steve

My F355 has the Tubi and I agree it's the greatest sound of all time.

However, there's also the Capristo exhaust, which is very popular due to its higher-pitched sound. Check out this video:

There's no mistaking the Capristo sound on the F355. The yellow 355 in this video (1:50) clearly has Capristo, as I think do many of the 355s shown.
