I just watched the window video, it's very impressive. I am sure the long term solution is probably to install the Ricambi supplied unit.
I am based in London SE (UK), my family owns a garage business which I now run, hence the a/c info.
I was looking for a 328 about 18 months ago so I spent a lot of time researching them (to be honest I've been 'researching' them since I was 14!) I could not find a good one for my hard earned so in the end I bought a Merc SL500 Silver Arrow. But as you guys know the passion is always there, so I have tentatively started looking again and that is how I ended up here!
I have to say I particularly enjoy looking at the Garage photos
T1f, welcome and thanks for your advice. I was like you in the past, looking and then almost buying, but then for one reason or another puuting it off for a while and buying something else. Although the 500SL is a pretty tasty car, I'd quite like one myself.
The 328 is a great choice, originally I was looking at 355 and 348's, but most people I spoke to said that the 328 was the perfect 1st F car as they were so reliable and easier to work on, therefore cheaper to maintain. I still love the 355, but the 328 is so reliable I wouldn't part with her now.
There are plenty of 328's out there for between 25K GBP and 35K GBP. Some of the better known dealers are belowm most have got 328's in stock.
Gray Paul - Nottingham
Nick Cartwright - derbyshire
Rardley (Mike Wheeler)- London way
Kent High Performance Cars (Arthur)
DK Engineering - Watford
I don't know them all so wouldn't like to make any reco's, but I can say that I've spoken to the top 4 at great length and was very happy with the service and advice I received, esp from Nick and his son Ben, from whom I bought my car.
Don't give up the dream. I first went to Gray Paul 11 yrs before I eventually bought one.
