Handbrake cable P clip

Anyone tell me where the 1 P clip with the RUBBER SHEATH is positioned for the handbrake cable on the chassis.

The parts book lists 6 plain metal P clips and 1 sheathed P clip.

All 7 of mine are plain and need to know where the sheathed one sits.

I like to get things right.

Anyone know???

Dave

1x 10441490.....bracket with sheath
6x 10418501......bracket no sheath

Can you look under one of your 355's and tell me where the sheathed bracket is located....

And why do you think there is only 1???

Thanks Dave

I'm interested to hear why you think there is only 1 sheathed bracket for the handbrake cable....from an engineering perspective.

I'm guessing it's an area that has a tight bend where as the others are straight and won't provide any worry about cutting the cable sheath.

Hmmmm.....please take a look at the car to confirm your guess.....and......why not use a sheathed P clip on all 7 retainers?

I will. And, the reason not to is cost where it's not needed.

Hmmmm...
I'm not convinced the cable goes through a sharp enough curve anywhere to need a sheathed bracket...interested to hear your opinion.

Errr...is this an error?

You sure it's not passenger side on a LHD car?
