Paul- Every three to five years (Ferrari recommends 3 years, most owners use 5), the engine must be pulled to change the cambelts. So that is pretty expensive ($5K+, sometimes many plusses). Annual service on most Ferraris is around $1000, but that does not count any unscheduled repairs. The last 348 built is over 20 years old, so repair costs vary with earlier care, luck, and other variables.
Go to ferraridatabase.com and you can download 348 owners manuals and workshop manuals. Will give you some idea of what awaits you. There is no such thing as a 348sp, so you had me confused.
Any Ferrari can be used as a daily driver as long as she is faithfully serviced. Gets expensive, though, because things are going to need repairing, not just servicing, on a 20 year old exotic. If by daily driver you mean that is your only car, probably, with some rentals while she is down for maintenance.

Every day I look around, and if nobody is shooting at me, it is a pretty good day.
