Need suggestions for 348 seat replacement

I need to replace the seats in my 348. The seat bottom is too narrow for me and becomes very uncomfortable on long drives. Does anyone know of a good replacement seat? I checked Recaro seats, but they don't have the mounting hardware for the 348. Is it possible to use the hardware off of the original seats?

Once a while I notice the "Challenge" seats for sale at Ebay.
People sell their cars with the OE seats and try to get some $ extra.
They look awesome. They came in red, at least the ones I saw.

The problem is that 348 seats are designed for narrow Italians. Unfortunately most Americans are a little 'wider'.

Everything is possible, if the mounts can be removed off the factory seat then go for it. Make sure the bolts a nice and tight and use locktite. If it doesn’t match up, find a machine shop in your area, bring them both seats with the mounts and ask how much ! Very few machine chops will say no, its not very difficult to do. Even a good welder can do it. Just make sure the brackets can be removed from your aftermarket seat in the event you don’t like it, want to change to another model or even to just go back to original. If you plan to change both, check both brackets, besides being different from left to right, some are built totally differently from one side to another depending what goes under the seat (wires, hoses, fuel and brake lines etc…)

Don’t buy a seat that only fits your car, buy a seat that feels good to you, then get brackets done. Seats are like shoes, everyone feels different in each one.

I would also look at other companies other Recaro, there are quite a few out there, Sparco, APC, Corbeau, http://www.kirkeyracing.com/ is another one /Seats/Road Race, Momo as well…

Let us know what you find out.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I ended up buying a pair of seats off of Ebay that came out of a 360 Modena. The nice thing about them is they are very comfortable, they're the right color, and they're power. I had to modify the seat tracks a little, but otherwise they were an easy install.
