New member steering wheel question

Hello,
I've been a memeber of Fchat for long time. Decided to join Flife.
Dave Rocks is the man!!

I do have a question. I couldn't find the answer in Fchat. Would a 430, 599, or the california steering wheel work on the 355?

Thank you for any info in advance.

Seyhan

Seyhan- If you mean fit and have any of the functions except turn the wheel work, no.

Welcome to Ferrari Life.

I do not care for the buttons. All I need is the wheel to work properly. I might be able to have the start button work. In my old 355 an electrician(not even automotive) was able to have s2000 start button work. It was kind of cool but honestly why bother unless if it's there like the 430 wheel.

Hi Seyhan, if you are not in a hurry. I'm just finishing a mode on a 355 steering wheel. When i finish it , I will post what i did and what parts i used. It will be worth the wait.
Thanks

This is a MOMO wheel and MOMO steering hub. I pick one that looked like a 360 wheel and modified the centre air bag. This wheel now has no air bag and I'm deciding to go all suede or leather. It's a straight bolt system with no modes.

I actually bought a 430 wheel finally. I'll get it wrapped and have some carbon on it. It'll be a while I suppose since the wheel will be shipped from England. Once received I'll ship it out to have it worked on. As soon as it's completed I'll post it here.
By the way the California wheel looks great and thanks for the info.

Seyhan- Who will be doing the CF and leather work for you? I bought an extra 575M wheel with the idea of doing the same thing.

Guy, for leather work, I suggest Coach Trim in CT.

I will be sending me seats and dash in a few weeks.

$1000 anyway you wanted. New leather, alacantra cf on top and/or bottom, flat bottom. I spoke to him on the phone seems very knowledgeable and a nice guy. As soon the wheel is in I'll send it to him. Contact info below.

Mario,

The California wheel looks good. It would be interesting to see if you could change suspension settings or other with the manetino after some rewiring (if you like that ability).

Robb the manettino, start & radio control switches are hooked up to a diode board inside wheel & power needs to be supplied to strg. wheel. The only way I can think of doing that is through a coiled wire like race cars with removable strg. wheel. I would think all those functions are programmed through car computer so it is no easy task.
