308 GTS or 328 GTSi

I am looking for a Ferrari... Between the 308 steel body and the 328... What would be a better purchase? I really like those carbs. and looks, however those 328's are hot autos. I know this is really up to me...I need some help. Please give me your opinions/facts....

Thank you for your time..... I apprecitate your comments.

I would go with the 328 because it has more performance than the former 308s. I also like the front bumper on the 328 a bit more. If you can find a 308 euro bumper that will look much better than the US version which sticks out really far.

The 308 could start to appreciate (or at least hold its value) give the cars age and that today's Ferraris are produced in such large numbers compared to the 308. If you can afford a later 328 that would be the car to get as they made some changes in the 1988.5 models.

Hello, i think that the328 is the best choice, im a 308lover, but i think that is a little bit better a 328. I was going to buy a 328 before the testa, but the prices are getting higher so i preffer the testa..

Sorry for my little english...

I think the 328 is a bit more "refined" than the 308. If you were looking for a daily driver the 328 would be the better choice.

Like you though, I love having those 4 Weber 2-bbls!

sorry..I'll go to the 308 1984-85 QV GTSi...no need to remove the engine at the major service interval and if you are careful with a PPI before turning over the cash and buy the right 308 it is a better buy than a 328 IMHO....But then I have a 1985 308...so either way...buy the car you want and bank money for upkeep....but drive it!!!

Thank you for the replies. If I went with the 328 is there a year I should favor? What are some of the things I should look out for? I understand about what services are completed... I will be requesting a PPI for sure.
Does the 328 require the engine to be removed for a service requirment?

Again thanks and soon I will be in the family.

PS I am interested in the new Corvette as well. But that is another story...
