fuel lines for 308 QV

As a fairly conscientous private pilot I like to do 'preventative maintenence.' However sometimes that opens up a whole 'new can of worms' that then need to be dealt with..My question is concerning whether or not anyone here has just ever replaced all the fuel lines on a 1985 308 QV Euro model with braided lines and if so where did they purchase them...what are the pitfalls...and any guess on the expense involved...??? Part of me just does not like driving a 20 year old car that probably has never had this done...For what it's worth the car has only 7500 miles but when I had a 1976 Mooney aircraft I just went ahead and had the hydraulic lines replaced because, at the time, they were also 20 years old and I wanted to avoid an in flight hydraulic failure due to a burst in the lines...Basically I am trying to figure out if this project would be worth it...certainly if it avoided an engine fire in the compartment from spraying fuel out of a burst 20 yr old injected(pressurized) fuel line it would seem to be a good idea..Any thoughts/experience on this would be appreciated...Thanks

Never done it on a 308 but I've always used EARL'S fuel and oil lines.

Any of the racing shops will give you a good price. Summit Racing and Jeg's are huge hot rod suppliers and probably move more product than anyone. It won't be too expensive to do. Measure out your fuel hose lengths and the I.D. then give them a call. They’ll walk you threw what you need.

You may need to make a couple of phone calls after they start asking questions, and you find you need to check a few more things on your car, but you'll be able to get it done.
