328 mirror parts help needed!

I somehow lost the little plastic cover off my drivers side mirror. Anyone know if I can find the piece without having to purchase the whole mirror?

Is this a Ferrari only mirror or is it also used on anything else?

Found a used rear view mirror on Ebay for $25 and got the cap for the side view for $40. Thanks Jim

All I need is the clear glass from the rear view, I can probably turn around and sell the rest of the mirror for what I paid for it.

Kevin, before you put on the plastic cup on the side mirror, put a couple dub of black silicone so that it will hold it in place more securely. I did that to mine 6 years ago and it's still holding now.

Thanks, Good advice, I'm trying to keep the car looking nice. I don't even let strippers crawl around on the hood

It would work for me, so long as they managed to crawl over the windscreen into the cockpit...

Cheers, Rich

You call THAT a BAD IDEA???? The car should lose the targa top, though, and the lady her hat & shoes...

Cheers,

Should I pop the other side off and use some RTV on it or am I likely to break it if I mess with it?

if it's loose, go ahead put RTV on it too. It shouldn't break, just don't squeeze it.

I recieved the little cap a few days ago and put both back on with black RTV. I just got notice today my rear view mirror I bought for the clear glass shipped today almost 9 days after I bought it on ebay. I guess that lack of urgency should be expected on Italian car parts.
