Good enough for Niki....

Nice article from October 1975. He really did seem to want to be involved in the development of the cars.

(Apologies if it's been posted before)

Oh yes!

Niki isn't just promoting, the 308 really is a wonderful car just like he says. Everybody should have one!

Very true, and he helped dev work on my 308 GT4, and my 365 BB that I currently have.
Ive never owned a 308 GTB though. Still time.

Really enjoy period articles and pictures, thanks for posting Paul.

The 308 GTB is indeed one of the greats. It surpassed all my expectations and is, as Mr Lauda says, a comfortable GT car despite being a proper sportscar.

I have always wanted to add a 308, even though my wife thinks I have enough cars!

Very interesting to read about Lauda's involvement in development of the 308. I searched YouTube for video of Lauda driving in a 308. Couldn't find any.

Found a coupld of Gilles Villeneuve in a 308 including an American Express ad:

Here is one of Villeneuve sliding impossibly wide (sloppy; titch, titch):

The 308 GTB is a wonderful car a real pleasure to drive...does anybody out there remember the Niki Lauder advert for the Momo "Vega" wheels that he endorsed for his Alfa Romeo "Super 2000 Alfetta" in the late '70s ?

It's only Rock 'n Roll . . . but I like it !!!!
