V12 308 for sale

Very interesting car for sale in the UK. Some links with Nigel Mansell's dealership (if the story is true).

Could be quite a fantastic car, but hard to say from an advert.

Noticed that a couple weeks back on pistonheads, I thought the price was lower then.

Seems to be a lot of interest in the V12 308s. Remember the first one with a 365 GT 2+2 engine. Believe the builder wrote a book on how to do it.

Mark's block is a 400, too, I believe, but the engine will not be too much like a 400 when finished.

Interesting car. I don't know that I would be "excited" about doing the service work on that engine packaging though, holy smokes.

I wouldn't be too excited either to be honest.

Would it not need a different set of gearbox ratios and about 200 more bhp to hit 200mph?

Mansells dealership was in Blandford Forum, certainly wasn't Emblem as the advert claims

There was a quick change transfer gear set available for many years that could have accomplished that quite easily.
