Taillight Sequence

I am in the process of potentially buying a 308 GTS. I am narrowed down to a couple and am excited. But, I have noticed on my quest, that in most cases, the amber taillights are on the outside, and the red/ brake lights in on the inside. BUT...sometimes, I see that sequenced reversed with the red/ brake lights on the outside and the amber on the inside. I have noticed this pattern more on Mondials. Documentation seems to indicate the former. Any thoughts?

Welcome to Ferrari Life. Are you talking about US or Euro 308s? Here is a photo of the taillight configuration on my old 78 Euro 308 GTS.

Here is a photo of an 84 US QV with them reversed, but earlier two cammers look like the ones on my old 78.

Every day I look around, and if nobody is shooting at me, it is a pretty good day.

So far as I know, the whole 308 series had the amber turn signals on the outside and the red brake lights on the inside. The only cars I've seen with them reversed have been repainted (including my former QV, which I corrected before selling to Jack).

I could be wrong, but that's at least what I've noticed.

Red on inside amber on outside.

Current: 85' GTS QV
It's a simple process...... it's just complicated by human beings....

Easy to reverse if they are incorrect, so I would not let that stop you from buying a car that had that as its only problem.
