Yesterday was a bright and sunny day at the Las Campanas golf course just outside Santa Fe for the 2015 Concorso.

Having won the President's Award two years ago the blue car was not eligible for a prize but was there for display and educational outreach. It is shown here next to 0354/MM from the Trust of Tom Mittler.

Saw an unusual number of old friends from all around the country drawn to the event in part because of the celebration of Denise McCluggage's life theme throughout the three days. Sure do miss her.

Best regards,

Today was the usual monthly Cars and Coffee at the Four Seasons Resort at Rancho Encantado just a few miles North of Santa Fe. Weather was cool but clear and the drive in the blue car was good as always. Expect that will be the last driving event for the winter.

Best regards,

Not my car!

Just in case there was any misunderstanding this is not my car - note interior trim. It is a sister car.

Dear Terry,

Perhaps, however a couple of the past owners have taken good care of it. In any case my bias is that I consider the race, driver and show history of mine is in a different league.

Best regards,

Robert

Perhaps you should go along to the auction with your cheque book, Admiral - then you could have a matching pair!

PS I am glad you posted - when I saw it on RMS' site, I really did wonder whether you had taken leave of your senses!

Best wishes, John

Dear John,

Great idea. I am willing to pay exactly the same $2,225 which I paid for mine in 1960 when I was told by my parents that I had "taken leave of my senses."

Of course you knew that already.

Best regards,

Robert

I have a strange feeling you may not be the highest bidder!

Mon Amiral, in 1960 that was a fortune for an old used sports car. And you were a Ltjg? Hmmm.

You're not the only one Admiral.
Sixteen years later, my folks wondered if they had raised an idiot when I bought my little Triumph for $1500.
Once I made LT and added a Jensen Healey and a non-running MKII, they were convinced !!

Just because it smoked constantly, leaked oil like a sieve, was prone to engine fires, and rusted from the inside out, doesn't mean it was a bad car....

Issue #146 of FORZA Magazine came today and I was happy to see my correction letter printed. Also included was a photo of the two old warriors tackling the Corkscrew on page 12. Fun photo.

Best regards,

Robert
