I thought it was 158 in total including those delivered to Australia , South Africa etc? Ferrari dealt with all RHD markets through the then UK importers Maranello Concessionaires.

Matthew- Back then, probably correct, Not sure when Maranello Concessionaires lost their monopoly on Commonwealth Ferraris.

It's around 200 RHD Daytona's that were sold, for the different markets.
158 UK, RHD cars is the figure quoted by Maranello.

Andy.
Not many come up for sale privately, there are a few for sale with dealers, so that might be the only route to go at the moment.
If I hear of any I will let you know.

Hi Grant hope you are well have you had a chance to excerise the Spyder yet this year?

Looking into this further it seems as usual with Ferrari and production numbers the true answer isn't clear. Most sources on the web quote the 158 as total for RHD coupes plus the 7 Spyders. However as this is the figure on Wikipedia I suspect it may have been lifted from there.

Daytona registry quotes 179 (plus the 7 Spyders) which as the vast majority would have gone to the UK, at least initially, makes the 158 as the UK allocation reasonable.

However looking at it today if you account for movements around the world (the silver car at Hexagon is quoted as originally supplied to South Africa for example) and adjust for attrition lets assume there are about 120 RHD currently in the UK?

Hi Matt.
I have had the Spyder out once so far this year, I have been a little pre occupied, building a new home for her! [ see pic. luckily I have a JCB too ].

In total I have 190 RHD Daytona's on my data base, but there are a couple of chassis numbers I have attributed, that i still have to confirm that they actually are RHD cars. I believe some new RHD cars also went to Aus, NZ, SA, and Singapore.

Maranello concessionaires Ltd. guide to classic cars states 156 UK coupes and 7 Spyders.
Grant
Ps, do you know if the free road tax revision for 40 year old cars due in on the 1st of April is going to come in? I spoke to the DVLA a month ago and they said nothing was changing!

New project looks cool. I moved out of London last year so finally have a place with a garage, and don't have to keep the car at Dad's anymore. Makes it much easier to use the car and taken her out a few times in between the rain.

The 40 year exemption will come in on the 1st April and in the new budget it as been confirmed as a 40 year rolling extension. Annoyingly the tax on mine ran out in February, so I put six months on it. Apparently you can reclaim for the period after the 1st April, but it involves sending off the V5 and the MOT, Which sounds like a pain to me.

Grant- My Maranello Concessionaires' A Guide to Ferrari Road Cars quotes 158 instead of 156, so who knows? It is posted in the knowledge section.

Thanks Matt.
Just phoned them, and at some point, to change to Historic, you would have to send off the V5 and mot anyway, so might as well do it on the 1st of April and get some money back

Hi Andy.
Very very nice.
Did you buy it from Edward Lovett? He had it for sale last year.
I hope to see you at one of the owners club events this year, it would be great to see two blue Daytona's together
