225s 0168ed

I just noticed this post by our esteemed Marcel Massini on 'the other' Ferrari site and just wanted to share with the vintage lovers over here.

Fantastic that this car is getting an original engine back and will be put to good use in historical events. What a lovely car! Pics (C) RM Auctions.

Just yesterday correct and authentic 225 S engine was purchased which will be installed soon. The car will then be road registered for Switzerland and subsequently prepared for vintage racing at Goodwood and the Monaco historics.

Congrats Marcel!

Gorgeous! And so cool that she will be getting her correct engine. Can see where the lines for the 340 Mexico came from! Just fabulous!

Onno, Marcel- Some of the Vignale Ferraris are not too attractive, but this one is just beautiful. Great news, Marcel, and look forward to seeing images of the restoration. What a great retirement account.

Love the portholes. Who had them first, Ferrari, Buick, or Maserati?
