V12 Bimboracer

I know this is an older thread but just found it. I am finishing the restoration of my Bimboracer that was purchased new in 1956 by my brother.

I found that there are a few different versions of this car. Some being chain drive and some friction drive. Some with opening trunks and some without. Would be happy to compare notes with other owners.

Here is a picture of the restored wheel/wires and the original Pirelli "Bambino" tires

I wonder if the police in Italy would have these crushed for breaking copy write laws. Or can only Italians make fake Ferrari replicas.

Interior stitched and installed. Very close to original. Windshield remains to be installed. As does the V12 emblem.

I love it!

About the only small thing that pops out is the bolt holding the steering wheel to the column. A round or pan head bolt with an accord or barrel nut should whould look cleaner even if it's not correct.....and this is a pretty small thing to question, everything else looks fantastic.

You caught me! I knew I should change it from the temporary bolt to something else before I took pictures ;-) Thanks for the reminder, it will be changed!
