Ferrari Certified Pre-owned

I am a first time Ferrari buyer who is in the market for an F430. I have accumulated a list of about 10 I am looking at from 2005-2007. My question is this. How/is important is buying a Ferrari approved certified pre-owned program from a Ferrari dealer and is there certain things such as headers, clutch and such I should pay close attention to? Another thing I am finding is when doing AutoCheck many you find were rental/leased. Should I worry about that? Thank you in advance for any comments and help.

Though I am on my 2nd Ferrari and have not purchased either from a factory approved dealer, I would say that you have a better chance of getting a well sorted car from a factory approved dealer but you definitely pay for it upfront. Personally I think its better to do your due diligence on the car your buying with respect to non-Ferrari factory approved dealers and save the tens of thousands of dollars for unforeseen service issues down the road, which may have happened had it been from a factory approved dealer anyway. If you buy from a reputable non factory approved dealer you should be fine.
