Sold the 575M, bought an F340 Spider

Hello All,
I'd like to introduce myself here as the proud new owner of a 2008 F430 Spider. I just did the deal this week, after at least a year of consideration and thought behind the possibility of moving from my beloved 575M Maranello to either a 599 (no longer affordable for me unfortunately) or an F430 Coupe. Yes I said coupe because I have never been a convertible guy and was not interested in the Spider at all until I test drove it. Fortunately I picked perhaps the last nice sunny fall day before the onslaught of winter here in Toronto Canada, and having the top down was a wonderful experience. The 360 degree visibility and sound of the engine won me over,. I also liked the size and feeling of lightness, as well as the short view of the road over the hood. I am not saying I would not go back to a V12 Ferrari, I loved the 575M, but as they say "variety is the spice of life". Here is my 575M saying good-bye and my new F430 Spider saying hello...

Congratulations

You picked a good looking car. I also tend to favor coups when it comes to new sports cars. I thought the 599 prices were still not quiet settled. I did see a few around $150,000 with higher miles.

Thank you . 599s are still generally selling for over $200,000 here in Canada, unless they are accident cars or have very high mileage. Also this time one of my criteria was that I wanted to get a car with lower mileage. The F430 Spider has only 15000 kms on it, as opposed to the 575M Maranello I am trading for it which now has 43000 miles, or the equivalent of 69202 kms. Hopefully one day I'll have the opportunity to trade for a nice 599 .

Now you've gone and dunnit Klide! quit the Maranello fraternity for one of those eight-cylinder fellows. Love the colour and the interior even though the engine is shy four cylinders. Well, the very best of Italian luck be on you, friend!
