Help turning air bag light off after sport seat installation

Hi, I recently purchased beautiful carbon fibre OEM racing seats for my 430, I am in the process of installing them but not without its problems

My original Daytona passenger seat must have a pressure sensitive switch to detect weight of a passenger and activating the airbag, once I disconnect the wire from the seat the airbag light comes on, I re install light goes off, it is a small 3 wire system black, brown, yellow.

You can read on my dilemma here sorry if it is on the other unspoken forum

[430] How do you Override the passenger seat wire for air bag - FerrariChat.com

My problem is new seats do not come with this feature so I tried to override the switch by crossing combination of the wires but now the light stays on constantly, that tells me I must have trigger something.

Any help in how to turn light off and override switch would be much appreciated

Cheers

Hi, I believe you can deactivate the passenger occupancy sensor in the Airbag ECU with a SD3 or similar tool. Try to set the "wiring contact type" to Driver's side only. Grounding directly the switch as mentioned on the other forum isn't a good idea as it will trigger a permanent alarm . To make a sensor bypass, you'll need at least a resistor, diode and capacitor

Very sound advise, drivers side does not come with a pressure sensor, only passenger side does.

I think I already triggered the permanent alarm but as mentioned a friend of mine has the Ferrari tool I will be able to turn off the air bag light.

After that then I will try to figure out what resistor to use.
