New owner and a question!

Hi all,

Just picked up a F430 Spider and loving the experience.

I have an annoying rattle from the exhaust tips at 3-4k revs and I will soon be having the tips strengthened with a small weld.

I am thinking about purchasing the Hill Engineering tips but I can't help thinking that they will be a cheap looking item with them bolting over the top of the current tips.

Are they decent quality?

Some pics of my car!

Thanks!

Hi,

Congratulations on your fabulous spider. Love the colour combination. Esp yellow callipers and tachometer.

I would keep the pipe tips stock. I think it is a common urge for all of us to want to modify our cars just after purchase. The best mods that I have made to my 16M are - scuding.com lights, unplugging the exhaust valves (even better would be to get a remote switch), taping over the air inlet trumpets, changing to high flow air filters.

David.

Welcome to the forum GT, that's a beautiful car. I agree with David, mother color combo is stunning.

I haven't seen close up pictures of the Hill tips, but generally outside of loafers and condoms, not a big fan of slip-on parts....

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

Beautiful!
Yellow callipers and centre tach with shields tie in just right.
Wheels too.
Enjoy

Thanks all!

David, your right. Its tempting to mod. Its like getting a new pet, you feel like you have to buy accessories for it.

Killer58 very funny!

FS, I wanted Red but when this Nero car came up with high spec I had to have it. My perfect spec would have been race seats but I have a plan for this…
