Too loud

I appreciate the sound of the f430 spyder, but too much for me, test drove one, loved it, but the noise on acceleration with the top down was to much for me, maybe I'm getting old,,

Just wait, get old enough and you start losing your hearing.
The problem will eventually solve itself!

Or get a Capristo race exhaust and keep driving through tunnels flatout for an hour. You will loose your hearing way faster .

GPM do you know if the car you drove had a standard F430 exhaust or aftermarket?

Cheers

The noise and visceral feel are the essecne of the F430 - for me, anyway. Have you tried an R8 Spider? You may find it a better fit. It's more of a civilised car than the F430.

You could purchase and install a Capristo level 1 exhaust (quieter than stock).

Stock F430s are not that loud, so you probably drove one with an aftermarket exhaust and no bypass valves and there is no telling what else had been done to it. The OEM exhaust has bypass valves that are shut during low throttle operation and would not bother your neighbors or you. Here is the schedule on when they open, courtesy of Stef.
