Changing 3rd brake light bulbs

Hi all,

I'm a new owner of an F430, had it a couple of weeks and love the car! I noticed one of the bulbs has gone out in my 3rd brake light and wondering how to change this?

Is it a sealed unit? Or can bulbs be replaced?

I've seen the LED units for sale but at the moment id just like to replace the stock filament bulb if possible.

There is an early F430 workshop manual for free download on ferraridatabase.com. Not sure if it covers that but worth having.

Every day I look around, and if nobody is shooting at me, it is a pretty good day.

Hi Adam,

You'll have to remove the entire 3rd brake light. You can use our installation guide of the LED 3rd brake light as a reference: https://www.scuding.com/Shop/en/inde...d_attachment=5
Then your can open the light unit by removing the small screws on each side.

I would highly advice you to replace it with our LED 3rd brake light as these small bulbs are getting loose very easily and create often problems : Ferrari LED Third Brake Light This complete LED unit is not even the cost of having these small bulbs replaced by a dealer

Taz - thanks for the heads up on the workshop manual, I'll get hold of that as I'm sure I'll need it at some point soon.

Stef - thank you for that link, that's exactly what I needed! I certainly will consider the full LED kit soon but not right now as I've only just bought the car and had a few unexpected extra expenses with the car already, but I will look to upgrade soon as I see the kit is very well regarded by everyone who has bought it
