F1 Pump spare-quick opinion

Guys,

my VIN is 149600's. Will this F1 pump fit my build or did they move to a better more robust version? i am about to open up my panel to compare but wont get around to it until tomrw. My thought is to have a spare JUST IN CASE i need to shell out 2500 someday for the part. i watched a youtube video and looks pretty straightforward to replace. Any input appreciated as always. But hey, dont go out and buy it from under me! My independent consult already said go ahead and buy it for that price!

The assembly number is different than the VIN number. If you open the engine bay lid and look straight down, to your left you will see the "Assembly Number" tag.

There have also been a couple threads about how "easy" it is to swap the pump. Literally physically replacing the pump is straightforward. Flushing, bleeding & calibrating the F1 system is a whole other process which requires a Ferrari capable diagnostic computer. It is wise to not short cut the pump replacement when the time comes and have the entire procedure carried out.

THx Josh. any opinions? i figured for the price it is/was a no brainer if it truly is brand new and direct replacement.

Cheng, if your local mechanic is OK with installing that pump if you supply it, You're good to go. Assuming your car takes this style pump and not the other. Please check your Assy. number tag and verify first.

Cheng- You have the newer pump so do not really need a spare. On F1 cars, the pump was upgraded at AN 61589, which correlates to a serial number in the 1439xx-1441xx serial number range. So save your money.

Cheng- With the Jet Stream patterns, we did not even have a real winter here in the high desert. Only snowed twice and that did not even bother the roads too much. Everybody north or east of here got pounded, though.
