Key fob programming

I recently purchased a 2003 360. The unit come with 2 keys and it had 4 key fobs. One master and three slave fobs. Come to find out only one of the key fobs is working. The previous owner had lost one of the key fobs and purchased a new set of 3 (one master and 2 slaves) but never programmed. I have found the programming directions online but says I need a pin code. I have all the books but did not see any pin code listed. Where is it normal listed. And if I can find the pin code is the programming something I should try to do myself or am I better off taking to the dealer?

The pin code is on a small paper card which is usually kept in the pouch with your other owner's manuals. If you can not find the card, you will need to go to your local dealer and acquire a new code card by VIN. They will require proof of ownership and identity before releasing the code card.

You can program if yourself, it's just a hassle to do.

If it has a new set of fobs registered to it by Ferrari the pin code on file will be the new code, not the old one and it will cost 5-$600 to find out.

I suspect by the time this is over yet another set of fobs, an immobilizer/ alarm and possibly a new Motronic is in his future.

Knowing what is there and not there is part of a PPI.

David- See if this helps. Shows what the PIN looks like, among other things.

David, do a search on the internet. There is a person that can take your FOBS and clone them (I think it cost about $125 per FOB, but you may be able to get a discount by having 3 to program). He basically takes one of your FOBS that work and copies the program onto the other FOB. I had two cloned and he did a good job. The only downside is that if you use one FOB all the time, you will need to press the cloned FOBs (open and close) a bunch of times for the counter to catch up.
