Front bumper out of alignment

I have checked a lot of 360 and 430 lately and this seem to be a very common problem. I actually don't think I have seen any car that seems to be perfect.

According to the workshop manual there should an even space of 1 mm along the entire bumper. I have close to 0 mm gap in front and the biggest gap of about 4 mm, right under the front lights.

I have removed the bumper and made changes the shims but cant find any way to close the gap evenly.

Are there anyone out there with knowledge how to make this bumper fit according to spec, this drives me nuts?

Not possible. The shape of the top of the bumper and the bottom of the metal nose are different. All versions of 360 and 430 are like that.

So what you are saying is that the lower part fender is out of shape? Not the bumper? Are there really nothing I can do about that?

It's the way the panels are manufactured. All you can do is average the highs against the lows so the visual difference is minimal, then avoid staring at it so hard.

Johan- At least that solution is fairly economical.

Good luck Johan. I've driven myself nuts in the shop putting bumpers on cars at the end of the day, it's a blackhole of time.
