360 Transformation pictures

I am slowly transforming my 360 from what I thought (in my opinion) was a bit boring.

New 19" HRE wheels, stripes, CF engine louvers.

I want to say a special thanks to fellow region member and Ferrari owner, Sam at MD 4x4, for installing the stripes. He's quite the perfectionist and a great guy (in the event you want to mod your car). I HIGHLY recommend his work and he has the template for the 360 Modena stripes. PM me if you want his contact info.

Here are some before and after pics.

Sporty & tasteful mods, nice.

With the change in temperature on the rear hatch, do you have any concerns about that particular stripe and adherence long-term?

Thanks for the compliments
Taste is very subjective and the next owner can undo the mods if she likes

The tape on the rear deck has not been affected by the engine heat
I ran the car this summer in the heat with no problems whatsoever

It looks and drives like a different, new car now
It was far less expensive than buying a new car as well :-$

Do you know what material the stripe is made of? I've considered doing a similar mod but am pretty confident I'd have an issue on the rear deck with the product a local decal shop uses. Thanks!

Oracal brand is what we used

Sam (installer) said they are of good quality (he's been doing striping for 30 years)

I sourced the stripes from Kyle
The first set had an imperfection and he mailed a complete new set at no charge

Kyle was a pleasure to deal with Porsche Stripes Quality | Porsche Graphics | Porsche Decals | Kyle Isbell | KI Studios

Sam can also make them from 3M film

Per Kyle:

The red was done in Oracal High Performance Cast vinyl, but different colors will be different manufacturers of the same HP Cast quality. For example, Oracal's red holds it's color a bit better and is a little more opaque than 3M or Avery red. 3M's matte black is smoother than Avery's matte black, but Avery's gloss orange is more glossy than 3M's orange

Feel free to email him directly.

Looks good!

I don't know why more people don't mod their Ferrari's especially if it's reversible.

I like the stripes but not a big fan of the HRE's.

Understand
I was going all "Lambo" and had to scratch the itch
It actually looks fine in person with the polished lips
It definetly has a sportier look and the next owner can reverse the changes.

Ferrari owners, for the most part, are purists.
It's a different mindset.
I thought my cars were a bit boring after many years of ownership. :-)

If one were to "Scudify stripe" a blu colored 360, which color & combo might you think works? We've thought yellow would pop but if not the right material it would end up looking tacky; metallic deep grey with black edging was another idea but coming up with the decal was proving difficult. At the same time we also need to refresh the hood clear bra to a full sheet instead of half to make look right at the seams.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts

I pinstriped the red stripes black (took about 15 minutes, pretty easy once the reds were applied). The black pinstripe will definitely setoff the red stripes and made them pop..

You could Google images of blue Ferraris with stripes or use PhotoShop (or better yet, a FREE photo editor to view different combos):

10 Photoshop Alternatives That Are Totally Free

If your car has yellow painted calipers, the yellow stripe will accent the oem wheel center caps and brakes. I think it would look amazing. WOuld be nice to see a doctored photo first.

Calipers are traditional red which had us rethinking the yellow stripe to a more subtle color. Photoshop it will be....

You can also do a Google image and video search "blue Scuderia" might help

Whatever you decide, a pinstriped accent stripe is almost mandatory

Agree on pin striping. Did you notice the need after applying just the red or is that the way Kyle builds the stripes?

Kyle provides stripes with accents.
I was on the fence regarding an accent stripe, so I ordered plain stripes from Kyle.

A quick trip to the auto store, $1.97 and fifteen minutes later, I had my accented stripes.

If I had ordered the accented stripes, and didn't like them, I would have had to take them off and start all over again. Time and money lost.

Buying the pinstripes at Autozone was a simple, quick, and inexpensive solution because I did not use PhotoShop before I ordered my plain stripes.

I am thinking the white stripes on blue with black accent may be the answer if you want to take a more conservative approach.

Although the scuds with yellow stripes on Google images really pop.

Make sure to post before and after pics!

The white is appropriate for the blu nart color with the racing stripe heritage. Having our second snow fall of the season and roads covered in calcium chloride gives us plenty of time to design. This time of year is always a downer for the now winter garage queens.
