Cold start - 1st gear no so smooth

Why does my car sometimes lurch a little in 1st gear if it is not warmed up? Never happens if it is properly warmed up.

William- Can be several things, but one problem, dirty injectors, might be solved by simply adding a bottle of Techron to your gas tank. For $12 or so, the cheapest thing you are ever likely to try on a Ferrari.

Get the adaptive parameters and the throttle self learn reset.

360 is finniky about that.

Might also test for vacuum leaks.

William, may be dumb question, but do you drive before letting the car warm up a bit?

I have same issue with my F355. 1st and second gear is hard to get into gear when i first start her up, unless i let the oil circulate and temp warm up a bit. (its a 6-speed manual)

BTW, is yours a F1 or manual?

Maserati GranTurismo MC - Giallo yellow
Porsche 911 GT3 RS - black with orange accents - wife's car
F355 Berlinetta - Giallo Modena, 6-speed manual, carbon sport seats -recently traded in
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S

Hi Mike. Manual transmission l. If I let it warm up idling for 15 min before I drive it never happens. Only happens sometimes if I am inpatient and start out without warming up. Got my car this Jan and have done most of my driving so far on cold days.

You don't.

Someone with an SD2 does.

Sounds to me like it might also be the transmission oil, if it is old, it may have lost some of its viscosity which can get better once it warms up. I don't have any Ferrari experience but I drove lots of manuals in Europe and at cold weather, it is very typical.
