Search for a LHD 430 Scuderia

Does anyone know of a 09 LHD 430 Scuderia for sale in the UK.

Check the classifieds but no luck.

Thanks.

It is usually quite attractive to import Dutch cars into the UK as you get part of the tax back. At the moment (or at least last week when I was there) there is a spectacular Scud for sale at my dealer in Hilversum. It is a unique metallic grey (can't remember the name but very beautiful 1960's colour), with painted silver stripes and full carbon works. Mileage is 25k kms. No idea what the net price would be when imported but it might be worth asking?

If I had the money, I'd buy it. Wonderful car.

Found it on the Ferrari Approved website. Unfortunately I can't post a link, doesn't seem to work. But if you fill in Netherlands as your country and search for a Scud you will find it.

Asking price is high but I'm sure there's some wiggle room, and remember that it includes the Dutch tax which you will get back. How much depends on the age of the car, best to ask the dealer.

Not in the UK, but damn is this Scud sexy. Take a look at dR, they have about 2 dozen scuds for sale. Might be worth shipping 1 to the UK.

Thanks gentlemen. Buying in NL or Germany is tempting but I am not sure I have the time right now to deal with the hassle of getting it re-registered in the UK.

Surely between Carrs and Kroymans they can sort that out for you?

Anyway - not pushing, just trying to help out!

Wow, just beautiful. I'm usually not a fan of non-red Ferraris or Spiders, but I love this one.

Hi Boxer, I hope I'm not hijacking your thread with my question, but after looking through it and the cars that have been posted, it occures to me I am looking at the same pool of cars to do the opposite thing. If I understand correctly you're thinking of picking up a LHD Scud to either buy within, or bring in to the UK. And I have started looking into buying a LHD Scud to take to Germany where it will live.

It now occurs to me that before looking I need to understand if there are better places than others to buy and transfer to Germany, not only for price but also tax and other possibly less obvious reasons. I have been looking at cars in the UK thinking that is the easiest and best priced way to go for a LHD Scud, especially being based in Ireland. But I am now wondering if it makes more sense to be looking further afield or be conscious of any pros or cons I am currently not aware of?

Cheers
Michael

Bit off topic but Leadfoot, do you have any pics of your F430? I love red with black rims.

See post #1 and #10 in this thread. The car is sold and I'm currently in search of a Scud. Pic #2 was me leaving a local meet, in the rain! The car didn't melt.

Hi Michael, My idea behind the LHD Scud is to buy one in the UK mostly for use on the continent. From a registration and insurance POV, having it already UK registered just makes things simpler for me. However when looking at the market, it would probably be less expensive to buy in either Germany or Italy (and Switzerland but only if you can keep it on Swiss plates, otherwise paying VAT to bring it into a EU market would wipe out any savings). There are lots of LHD Scuds around right now on the continent and even more will be coming onto market as Ferrari starts taking orders for the 458 "Scuderia" which will be announced later this year. Having had a few discussions with Ferrari dealers in Germany, it is easy to knock Euro 10-15k off all the asking prices on Scuds right now.

Huge premium vs Germany:

Here is a similar car from the Ferrari dealer is Singin (Gohm). If you offered 120k I am sure they would bite your arm off.

Understand for you it's a great price re. Uk import regulations without extra tax to be paid. If I were to buy and import it I'd still have to pay big chunk of taxes.
This gets me thinking.......a Scud.....would be a very nice addiotion to the stable...

I know they are not scuds but a few UK LHD 599 GTB and 458s around if you dont fancy a RHD and a LHD scud..

Used cars for sale with PistonHeads

could always PX it in Europe for a scud if you find one later where the LHD wont have a negative effect on the price

or this 09 Scud in Kent
