Factory Speaker Wiring in Door Panel

Hello,

I looked up the wiring diagram for the door speaker wiring and found the attached images. I am confused mapping the tweeter and woofer connections to the plug in the door jamb. According to the wiring diagram, both the tweeter and woofer are connected to the same plug pins. I would infer that the tweeter and woofer are getting the same signal. Is this in fact the case. That would tell me that the crossover for high / low is built in somehow in the speaker. Am I missing something?

Steve

There may be crossover circuits. Some speakers that are co-axle or tri-axle separate frequency even when the same wires are attached to all three (Tri) and each speaker responds with its frequency range with a little or do duplication. Think of it as a co-axle speaker with the tweeter removed and the wires stretched to another mounting location.

The stock tweeter had a small crossover circuit built-in the back of the tweeter.
