Drove F430 Scuderia at Disney

Drove 14 laps last monday at Disney. What a blast. Having the driving coach in the car was a plus since he pushed me hard. Breaks were absolutely awesome. Top speed of 112MPH with hard breaking at the hairpin turn. Loud and nasty. Worth every penny. They also had a 458 but I decided that will come another day. After driving the 430 the 360 is out for consideration. That much better! (Josh (ECS) you were right!)

Next test drive is 612.

I plan on doing this in August. I was planning on the 458 but would also love to try the Scud. Won't be able to do both. Any advice/tips?

Disney

I'll post pictures when they are posted on line. All the driving coaches loved two cars. The GTR and the Scuderia. The others were two lamborghinis and a Porsche 911 S. Advice and tips? Listen to the coach. He wants you to have fun and go fast. Push real hard on the brakes at the first turn. The Disney track also has a NASCAR track. It is the real deal. And for 99 dolllars your kids can get a ride in a real NASCAR going over 135 mph. (or big kids) After doing this I would never again drive on the streets or back woods like I did in Richmond.

Thanks Mark. I know you have driven both so I will take your advice. I will see what I can work out with them about driving both. If i can only drive one, i think I will drive the Scud. I have driven the 360 challenge cars on track before and those cars with slicks etc. were just fantastic.

Thanks JSOW.
How is the infield part of the track? Looked at the layout and it looks a little boring.

Disney Track Layout

The outer track was for NASCAR only. The inner track with all the turns was the track layout we used. It was my first real track experience so it wasn't boring to me at all. They also don't let you adjust anything once you get going and will "end your experience" if you try to play with the setup. They also insist on both hands on the wheel all the time. Also unless you buy video or photos there (which isn't included) on sight you are out of luck so no pictures. I had to rush back to Epcot to meet the family.

I would do it again!

This is a great grown up activity at Disney World Orlando. I haven't done it yet, but I plan to in November. I'll drive a 458 for sure, and maybe a Lambo, I dunno. Totally worth it. 14 laps must have cost about $1k!

14 Laps

Total cost was around 500. I was the only one signed up for the 430 so we kept on driving. I didn't know I had 14 laps until I saw the printout. I guess the coach liked my driving.

Also, they have a little switch that they hold that dials down the throttle if you scare them. I gave him a nice tip and went back to the family. I paid for 8 and got the rest gratis but I wouldn't count on it. 6 didn't seem like enough.

It was a good day.
