Correction, sills not from my 16M which came from the factory with carbon version, they are from a friends Scud.

Richard, lovely looking Spider!

'SCUD' Verb. To move fast as if driven by the wind.

I agree - very good looking and would like more pictures of those mods.

On another note I have an extra set of titanium wheel centers - cancel the order!

Richard, one of the mods that intrigued me is the Porsche lightweight battery. What ref number is it? Do you know who manufactures them? Bosch?

Is it the Lithium Ion battery?

haha

I am on #2 and she explicitly states that there will not be another.

The Ti centers are from my 612 after I switched to polished challenge wheels.

Can send em out Monday if you would like.

StefVan its the normal GT3 battery weighs about 5KG less than SCUD/CS Battery, yet its cheap and very robust, have same in the SCUD & Porsche TT too

Doug, given the willingess of your wife to organise payment for the Capristo, I think you are done on the Wives front. Unfortunately, already ordered the wheel centres in Black not Titanium as Yellow just didn't go

True and she is in favor of removing the tennis court for more garage space

As noted Doug, you are settled

I hammered the 430 Spider on its new Bridgestone Potenza's yesterday, not quite as sticky as the Bridgestone RE10's I have on the SCUD but still brilliant but I won't be buying any more DEADLY (in the wet) PIRELLI'S anymore, ever, enough people have already died & I was once nearly too there in the CS too. Let's all move on.

The OEM Black Centre Caps are a bargain at Eurospares $160 the set part no 70001466

The 16M sills re apparaently an *itch to fit, you have to take out the rear wheel arch linings etc, which you also have to do if you want to remove the air intake ducts on a 430 Spider

I have a set of those Pirelli's - need to make a decision soon after I get one track day in to shred them accordingly

Doug- You have Corsas, which are great on the racetrack, but not too good in the wet. Trade-off for all that cornering and braking using a DOT legal competition. Similar to the Michelin Pilot Sports that Corvettes use to pull nearly 1.1 g on small skidpads. Not designed to be good in the wet.

Doug, if you ever drive when its wet, the answer does not involve Pirelli's

& yes before anyone notes it, I did buy this car new in 2008, I paid too much for it (300k+ USD), then modified it, & should have bought a 16M, I realised this mistake and so added a SCUD

So this is rather embarrasing, on Saturday morning it was still rather cold (2 Celsius) I was out in the 430 Spider, come into a roundabout and a Mercedes AMG A Class Turbo (the new one) goes round ahead of me, I follow him through a village at 30 mph, we get out of the village up the hill 120 degree very slow turn into the wood over a bridge. I am right on his tail but the wood can be damp (especially when its 2 Celsius). I hit the rev limiter in 1st (in Sport) coming out of the 120 degree bend and he's gone, way ahead, impressive for a small 5 dooor hatchback

Ok, so we have been waiting for a video of the sound of your new Scud exhaust, if you can drive the 430 Spider, you can certainly make us a video of your Scuderia?
