Introduce my 360 spider

Dear All

As some of you might have known already I have taken delivery of my 360 spider for a little over 2 months. Many thanks to a lot of you previously by providing all the insight into choosing the right car. The car is in excellent mechanical condition but cannot really say the same for her exterior. However after serious waxing wheel polishing etc I have at least restore some shininess into her. Even replaced all the cracked wind stoppers with new one! Posted some pictures just to share a little of my enthusiasm.

Its a 2002 manuel!! and I must say that having driven so many car before the 360 is a little under rated. Car is nimble and the open gate shift is every car enthusiasts must experience. The 5 valve engine sound totally unique and car is surprisingly comfortable. Car came with the Japanese target design exhaust and fabspeed header plus 200cells cats but was overly loud for my taste, switched back to stock and it was too quiet! Now settle for the time being with stock cats and a still unconfirmed brand muffler, still a touch loud but acceptable. If the car behave and become a keeper then will reinstall the high flow cat with a quiet version of tubi.

And YES I have even got a 360 reg number for the car. All stereo including speakers have been replaced (as I discover all the rubber surround of the stock speaker has broken up) with all Focal. The pioneer deck seems to match quite well with the interior, genisis amp and also added a small sub behind the passenger seat.

Congratulations.

P.S. 360 engine is 4 valve. 5 valve engines where only used on the F355 and F50.

Sorry I stand corrected, it was with the 430's engine that Ferrari went back to 4 valves per cylinder.

Yes, I agree that the 360 is very much underrated

BTW, the wheels look very much like the 3-piece HRE 547s I have on my TR
I like the wheels on the spider, great look

Enjoy!

thanks guys

car came with the HRE 19" wheels and huge 8 pots caliper at the front and they look great. And the blue seems to grow on you as well. The other feature drawn me into the 360 spider is that glass engine cover showing that lovely V8. Whoever designed that is absolutely a genius. I am one of those old school dinosaur still attached to manuel. After the GTR and Gallardo Spyder I realized only manuel can satisfied me.

this was for sale in Hong Kong for quite a while, I see it finally found a home. Being in HK the exterior was always going to be overly knackered.

yes ......
for some reason the previous owner didn't care as much for the exterior as he did for the car mechanically. but then refreshing the exterior is the easy part. My next mission now is to find the right exhaust.

Congrats Win, very nice car! Welcome to the club of manuals If you find some play in the shift gear, have a look to one of the DIY guides, this can be easily corrected and greaty improve the pleasure of shifting

thanks

stef...fortunately the shift is very smooth after it warms up. even when cold it takes only few min then it becomes butter. However I checked out the info regarding shifter bush. I alrdy purchase and receive the replacement form Hillengineer, keeping them handy as spare.
