My 2 year old daughter would LOVE it.
That's why she doesn't have a Ferrari....

I didn't want to look at the pic. I was thinking it was going to be even more hideous, but just like trying to drive by an accident without looking, I just couldn't. So I clicked.

Those are the perks and disadvantages of walking around London.

You see some working hard businessman and other occupations drive around in their hard earned items whilst prince boys speed around in disgracefully modded/customed cars.

I never take a pic of an arab car in London, actually I don't think I've seen one that is for a normal person.

That's not to say that people in their country all do it but the people do it in this country to show off

Is this a recent trend in and around London. I ask because I lived around London in the mid-90's for 3 years and although I saw my share of Ferrari and such, I didn't really see this much gaudiness. I'm wondering is this is the result of more recent affluence.

Also, I can't imagine any car that would actually look good in that color, not even a Lambo which can be at home with some fairly raucous coloring.

well, I don't have as much as a problem with it but some more local people call it the "arab invasion".

They are very common around Knightsbridge. Actually, around summer most of the super/hyper/pricey cars are arab plated.

There was a recent program called "millionaire boy racers" on C4 in the U.K. about the arabs coming in the summer and some of the locals trying to impose speed limits in Knightsbridge and stop super cars since its too loud for their precious area.

Yeah like living in the central of a city is going to get you peace and tranquillity, have they ever heard of the countryside?

Yeah, I did the completely non-green American thing and rented a home a bit far from where I was working at the time. Mostly because I wanted to be away from the noise and congestion. For about a year I was living in Ascot and driving to West Drayton where I got to drive by a Ferrari dealer somewhere around Egham. Maybe 20 miles? Not the easiest of commutes but well worth it. I wonder if the millionaire boy racers have infiltrated the old money of Ascot? Probably too far from the action I would imagine.

No, to my knowledge they have just flocked to these parts

Kensington and Chelsea (Most desirable with Knightsbridge)
Mayfair
Marylebone

If they don't want the postcode and want a grand house instead, they go somewhere in North London.
