What is this sticky switch condition that I see mentioned in Mr Sheehan's and other offerings? Is it an actual difficulty in operation or is it a gummy condition of the plastic surrounding the switches?
The buttons have a soft touch feel to them, almost like a rubbery paint. When the coating fails due to age, temperature, use, etc. The buttons get sticky to the touch, and the coating chips off. When they get really bad, the stickyness gets on your fingers etc. Once they are bad, they need to be cleaned, replaced, or refinished by proffessionals (ie. www.stickynomore.com).
Hi Jerry, I do all ferrari trim refinishing including switches buttons and re-stenciling etc, and we do all the removal diassembly and reassembly and I am here in San Diego... Let me know if I can help you out. Scott 858-581-6545
