Black Wheel Bolts

Just having my wheels re-painted gloss black and we're struggling to find black or grey bolts. I know Ferrari does Titanium at $1500 a set but really.....is there anything that anyone has come across.....there must be loads of cars with black wheels.

I've even thought about a plastic sleeve but that would be rubbish and might not fit.

Thanks for looking and helping out.

John- Seems like I have seen this question before. If I were you, I would just paint the ends of the bolts black and use a Hill Engineering socket to prevent damage. Black chrome or black wrap on just the end would be another choice.

Or wait a week or so and I will have a set of titanium wheel bolts for sale for $350. Not Ferrari, but on my 575M now with 12 point heads that fit an 18 mm socket (included).

Perhaps you can get black lug caps? I did it for my R8 which had black HREs and it looked great.

I realize you want to black out the lugs, but the original chrome may offset nicely with the black.
Also, if you currently have chrome, a chrome plating shop can strip them, then a low cost alternative is to have them powder coated. I realize that is a lot of effort, but it is a thought. Either way, good luck.
Taz's titanium sound like a real deal at 350. I paid almost 4 times that!!!!

Wheels are back, bolt issue maybe sorted too

I agree that the chrome looks OK....

I picked the car up this afternoon (in fact it was ready on Weds but I was away). WOW

Amazing job and even replaced the valves with (shhh) McLaren ones!!!!!!!!

To be honest the chrome bolts look OK - much better than I thought they would as the reflection of the gloss black paint means they sort of look black.

Anyway that is an aside. Rimstock have just done an amazing job with 10/10 customer service and I strongly recommend them if you're thinking of having wheels re-done.

Ring Sales and ask for Debbie. They have facilities to store your car, will take you to the nearest station etc. Can't praise enough. A beacon of service etc etc.

I have no connection at all and am so pleased that they were recommended to me.

In terms of the bolts, I have bought a set of Maserati ones - they are all locking, fit the F430 and have chrome slip on covers that can be rubbed down and painted so I have the option of either colour now. The part number is 920002240 (Maserati). The local main dealer tried one in a F430 and it was a perfect fit. Atlanta Ferrari/Maserati told me they had sold loads to Ferrari owners.
