Getting my F430 today!!!!

Hello everyone! I am so pleased to announce that today I am getting my 2006 Ferrari F430. I have had my 2004 Gallardo for 2 years now and wanted something different. Plus one of my good friends (who drives a wicked fast Scud) says Ferrari is the way to go and has been converting me to get a Ferrari. Still don't know if I should change the rims... everybody I talked to about them love the wheels. Was thinking of going to either the stock F430 wheels or maybe getting the Scuderia wheels. Here is my future baby.

Will get a Fabspeed Exhaust for more acoustics

Many congrats on the new car. I love challenge wheels, they were a cost option on the 430.

'SCUD' Verb. To move fast as if driven by the wind.

Very nice!

With the black 16M stripe I like the black challenge wheels.

Stop in the Scuderia modification thread - some cf door handles would look great.

Between challenge and scud wheels not a big difference. I say keep those and drive around for a while. See if you like them or not. I think they look great. If I was going to change those wheels I would prob keep them stored and look for hre or champion Motorsport wheels. Scud wheels not different enough.

Hey kenswiss

Many congrats. She's a beauty! I'm biased, but I'm sure you won't miss your Gallardo after driving the F430!

Small world, but a guy I work with, his brother-in-law is the General Manager at that Lamorghini Houston!

Post more pics when you get her!

Maserati GranTurismo MC - Giallo yellow
Porsche 911 GT3 RS - black with orange accents - wife's car
F355 Berlinetta - Giallo Modena, 6-speed manual, carbon sport seats -recently traded in

Congrats Ken! The red 430 is still my preference These wheels are very nice but it's true that we got used to see them filled with the huge CCM rotors. Now, imagine driving your new toy on the Swiss mountain roads. You'll miss Brig and the nearby mountain passes BUT, where you are now, you'll enjoy your car all year around which obviously we can't here. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to post here and please, read first some interesting posts here before going for these exhausts...

Ken- Those Challenge wheels actually look great in silver, like that were painted by the factory. You might try painting them (PPG 36520) and seeing if you like them that way. If not, they will be easier to sell in the OEM color and should bring $3000-4000, a good ways towards another set of wheels.

Is the stripe painted on, or is that a sticker? Either way it really looks great. I would just put the yellow caps back on, unless you go to the carbon fiber shields.

Keep those wheels, looks just fine with them, and the lovely darker color.

Stripe is just a sticker but they did a great job on it with no peeling etc.

Well I'm not a professional driver or anything. But what I I did notice is:
The Ferrari seats are better and more comfy (I'm 5"11 and 173lbs), It has more head room, feels more nimble and agile probably due to that its rear wheel drive. I also liked how shallow the dash felt. It was not as deep to the glass if that makes any sense. I have had both now and am very blessed to have been able to do so. We should all be so lucky to have these cars

It's a 2010 Ducati 848 with Termi Exhaust. Sounds brutal Now I have two red Italian Beauties. Will have to make a photo shoot! ha ha ha
Today as my garage door opened, I just looked at the rear end of my Ferrari and said " that is my Ferrari" Its such a cool feeling.
