Scuderia speaker upgrade Ive looked and saw someone replaced two center rear speakers with Pioneer TS-A1304C 5" Component Speaker Package. Is this the way to go? What use under dash for 3 inch drivers? Also will the radio Bluetooth stream music with iPhone? Just got the car and haven't tried. Thanks |
To be honest… I wouldn't waste your money. I have a pair of Focals in my Scuderia. They're great speakers, but the default placement of the speaker box results in fairly poor sound regardless. You'd need to custom install with fabrication work to get proper sound separation. Re: Bluetooth audio The Becker header unit in the car doesn't support the A2DP bluetooth profile needed to stream music. You'll have to use the 30-pin iPod connector. |
Excellent info. Thanks That clears it up. |
185 Attachment(s) The Scuderia coupe system is a joke. Person that designed it was certainly not an audiophile. You want a nice front image for a car system. How in the heck can you achieve this with two tweeters in the dash aimed at your feet? Then they put the midrange behind the driver, with a cheesy passive radiator. If you could ever find a wrecked 16M, replace your door panels with those. 16M system with the JBL's does not sound bad, IPOD is very difficult to navigate, but I have an idea on how to fix this. Am going to get an extention cable, and see if a normal IPOD will work. |
I agree Can't believe that is what they came up with for the scud. |
Uh Oh, now we have the deaf guy making stereo recommendations. Just kidding, Mark. |

My Scud exhaust is really not that loud from inside, but it does drone right around 3k rpm, fix, keep it away from that RPM. Seriously, just leave the stereo alone. It works just fine on longer drives to kill the boredom on roads where you have to maintain a contant speed. Car was not designed as a GT car. |

Ok. Forget radio/speakers |

I liked my 16M stereo - but after hearing the Capristo today with the top down for the first time it might as well be removed ... permanently :) |
Now you guys are talking. |
Scud speakers / stereo 4 Attachment(s) Here is a scud I did and the sound is fitting for the car and you can hear it at any rpm... Most important no modifications to the car so it can be all returned to stock. It includes a hidden 10 in subwoofer and a 4 x 150 watt per ch amplifier and an audison bit one processor that allowed us to tune the system and time align it perfectly for the driver... Scott- That is a wild installation. After 20 years of flying fighters, though, the high notes would be lost on me. |
scud audio Thanks Terry, I say just ship it! |

My 612 had the amp located under the rear shelf. The heat from the amp warped the shelf and shrunk the leather. Ferrari had no replacement shelf - had to build a shelf which wasn't easy or cheap. |
amp location The amp is located above the dead pedal. Scott |
Who needs speakers when you have a ferrari? Your car/exuast is the ipod! |

Nice installation, but still, the speakers are down at your feet, not the most optimum place for a good front image. The Scud's with the aftermarket radio's added seem to sit on the lots for quite a while. Most do not want any changes made to such a car. Leave it alone, and save up for a GT car with a better stereo. The Burmester in our Panmera Turbo is the best stock stereo system I have ever heard. |
scud stereo With the audison bit 1 processor and time alignment and the proper tuning the position is fine for the speakers.... I wouldn't knock it if you haven't heard it! My scud client has a 16m on the other coast and he even says it sounds better in every aspect. Scott |
