360's looks over f430's

Came across this image, and the 360 just looks so much more prettier imo.

The only thing I think I like more about the F430 more is the interior and the sound.

It's going to be a subjective discussion, one that rages on most Ferrari Enthusiast websites. Bottom line, if it's your dough, buy what you like the best.
I would like an F430 almost exactly as pictured above, but I can't justify the increased purchase price. So. I'll get a 360, almost exactly as pictured, and be happy with it until the F430 drops into my price range in 4-5 years.

That's a nice photo - love to see the dad's sharing their passion with their kids.

Cheng,
You should drive both before you decide.
We drove both during our search and agreed we liked the 360 much better. Don't get me wrong, the 430 was a very nice car, but we liked the clean lines (both inside and out) of the 360, and like you wanted a stick. Taz or someone else can probably tell you how many manual 430s there are, my guess is they're relatively rare.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

@IDriveM5 I know there's always going to be this discussion, but this picture, to me, just showed how much nicer the 360 is in my opinion.

The 360 even has a nicer name LOL

UK figures for manual versus F1
430 manual - 129
430 F1 - 731
430 spider manual - 128
430 spider F1 - 847

UK is approx 10% of production so I guess about 2500 430 manual cars split between Coupe and Spider - about 14% of total.

My vote goes to the 430. I really can't tell that much difference between the two. They are both beautiful cars and have a lasting style that will carry on for years.

Win Win

360: Arguably better looks. No discernable difference in performance on public streets at anywhere close to legal speeds. Save $45K or so over a 430. Best value exotic, period.

430: 83 more HP. Better interior. Better F-1. Chains, not belts.

360 in Rosso or Yellow, F430 in Nero or Grigio Silverstone, and both in Grigio Nurburgring. 430 Spider in any colour.

Cheers

I think threads like this are best left for Ferrarichat, there's currently an 11 page pointless 360 better than 430 thread where everyone is trying to justify their purchases. If you like the 360 best then buy a 360 but asking a question like that will go nowhere, only you can answer it correctly

I agree with with John, don't want to go in a FC like discussion here What count most is that both are Ferraris and both are very exceptional cars

Second that!

The progression of each model is simply faster around Fiorano,

Here are some good shots of the F430 and 360 spiders side by side.

IMO they both have good and bad angles, but the 430 takes my vote.

UK production of three pedals for 360s was much higher than for the rest of world production and I would expect the same for the F430. I only have the same numbers for the F430 that Russell has, and do not have them for the ROW. Nearly all the good production numbers for Ferraris came from Maranello Concessionaires, who got them directly from Ferrari. Out of 16,379 360s produced, 4749, or 29.0%, were three pedal. UK three pedals were 40.6% of production, 830 of 2045 UK 360s.

For the F430, 14.0 % of UK production was three pedals, only a third of the rate for the 360. Assuming total production was ~15,000, and assuming one third of the 360 rate, would be ~10% of F430 production with three pedals, or around 1500 cars worldwide.

Interesting that UK was so much higher for 360 manuals!
Impossible to know whether the UK still had a much higher percentage take up of manuals than F1 with the 430 than the average - the massive % drop would suggest to me maybe not but as always with Ferrari we are left to guess.
