NM- Those look really nice. I actually bid on a set for my 575M after too many beers. Luckily did not win, but it looks like they would have fit. No 430 indented on the CF mirrors, either.

It looks perfect. But it is a known fact that original 360 mirrors are already obstructing the fresh air flow to oil cooler and air intake. So they decided to install smaller mirrors in CS's to increase the fresh airflow. And in 430s they raise the inlets in the in both sides.
So in the future if you have problem with oil temperature this may be the reason.

Thanks. I will watch the temp gauge to see if there is any adverse effect.

Have you 430 wheels as well?

Barry;
Thank you for the compliment. I do indeed have 430 wheels on the car.

NM, Barry- Amazingly, to me those wheels look even better on the 360 than they do on the F430. They still look good on the F430, too.

How difficult was the change?

Hi Netman,
I have a TDF 04 Spider and have recently purchased the CF 430 wing mirrors but have procrastinated about putting them on as they did not come with instructions and I am concerned that I may get in over my head and F*#@k it up .

Did you do the change yourself , did you need any special kit and how long did it take you ( I tend to double the time quoted by most people on this forum due to my limited skill set with this stuff) ???

Cheers,

I have ZERO mechanical skill and was able to remove and reinstall my driver side wing mirror on the 360 by myself after I damaged it reversing out of the garage. It's pretty easy. Prob took me about 1-2 hours each time.

It is a DIY job. I was anal about making sure all was correct, the window guides were properly lubricated, and the door lock cables and mechs were good. In all I spent about 2 hours per door.

If you open your door and pull the tweeter speaker out from its rubber surround, you will notice a small bolt that goes into the top of the mirror from the inside and a wire harness for the motor and temp sensor. You will also notice the small black plastic clip that holds the tweeter in place.

To remove the aluminum door panel there are two small hex head screws at the top near the window under the rubber as well as another two at the base of the aluminum panel where it meets the bottom of the door. The other hex head screws are self explanatory.

The arm rest is a compression fit and can be removed by pulling up on it.
Remove the leather in the cup at the front of the door lever to remove a screw as well as lift the lever to reveal another screw to be removed.

This is a good time to clean the sticky cup containing the door lever. Or replace with CF as I did.

After these bits are removed. The rest again is exposed and self explanatory. Try to keep the gasket between the door card and door whole or you can replace it with a 30mil sheet of plastic.

One all of this is off you will see two nuts holding the bottom of the mirror in place and the harness connector. Remove the nuts and disconnect the harness and the mirror is off. This is also a good time to clean the gasket of wax buildup.

Follow in reverse to install the 430 mirrors which are a direct match to the 360 in reference to mounting points, and harness.

Take pictures for us to enjoy!!!!!

Sorry for bringing up an old thread but does anyone know if these are power mirrors that work with the stock 360 controls?
